MODERN DAY ANTI-SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT 2025
Made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
Introduction from the Managing Director
At RH Amar, we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.
We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to prevent modern slavery and human
trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern day slavery and are
dedicated to continuously improving our practices to combat these crimes.
Our Organisation
RH Amar is a UK-based private limited company engaged in the import and distribution of ambient packaged food
products. We supply a broad range of food products sourced globally, including from within the European Union
and other international markets.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chain supports UK retailers, wholesalers, cash and carry outlets and the foodservice sector. Given the
international nature of our sourcing, we recognise the importance of actively monitoring and managing potential
risks related to modern slavery. We directly export a small proportion of goods – these exports are exclusively
within the EEA.
Our Policies on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
RH Amar is committed to ensuring there is no modern day slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business
or supply chains. Our internal policies reflect our commitment to ethical business practices and compliance with
all applicable employment and human rights laws. Key policies include:
- Ethical & Environmental Procurement Policy
- Whistleblowing / Confidential Reporting Policy
- Recruitment Policy
These policies support our goal of fostering transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout our organisation and
supplier network.
Due Diligence and Risk Management
We take a risk-based approach to supply chain management and have implemented measures to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas, especially in regions or sectors deemed medium to high risk.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to promote best practices and alignment with our ethical values.
- Require new suppliers to acknowledge and comply with our standards on modern slavery.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits where appropriate to verify compliance.
