BETTER FOR OUR COMMUNITIES
To maximise our social impact
Volunteering Days
Fundraising
Last year 17 colleagues used their
company volunteering day to volunteer for
a charity of their choice. Charities included
food banks, a horse sanctuary and those
supporting environmental projects.
From hopping around on an Easter Egg Hunt through our
warehouse, walking miles, baking sweet treats for bake sales to
pedalling and rowing, RH Amar colleagues raised money for a
wide variety of good causes last year, with RH Amar donationmatching as encouragement.
Here you can see some of the team
volunteering at Chairborough Nature
Reserve, a short walk from our HQ in High
Wycombe.
Above are RH Amar MD, Rob, and Operations Manager, Mody,
just two of 24 colleagues who took part in our Row & Ride-athon
for GroceryAid and our Thames Trekkin team in action, raising
funds for local charity Buckinghamshire Mind.
Farm Africa
RH Amar Brand Controller, Anne-Marie Cannon, was
part of the all-female team from the UK food and farming
industry who last October took part in a 75km cycle in
Kenya to raise awareness and funds for Farm Africa.
Heart of Bucks Young Futures Fund
Last year, RH Amar Area Account Manager, James Washbourne, joined the Youth Board
of the Heart of Bucks Young Futures Fund. The Youth Board helps to decide where to
distribute funds to support young individuals across Buckinghamshire.
RH Amar Kicks Off Partnership
with Wycombe Wanderers!
We’re delighted to now be an of昀椀cial sponsor of two rising female football stars at
our local football team, Wycombe Wanderers! This partnership has come through the
work our new DBB Community Team is doing to make a positive impact in our local
community. In the picture you can see Strategy & CSR Director, James Amar, with one
of his football-loving daughters, and Wycombe Wanderers player Ellen Wardlaw.
